Serving Warwick, RI

The BMW X7 has long been an unbeatable option in the full-size SUV market. It boasts BMW’s powerful engineering, the most up-to-date and luxurious features, and refined styling. With your attention focused on purchasing a new X7 soon, a closer look at the differences between the 2025 and 2026 versions is in order.

Performance

The BMW X7 is available in the same two trim levels for the 2025 and 2026 model years. The xDrive40i is the entry-level trim. It is outfitted with an inline-six, turbo 3.0-liter, 375-horsepower engine. This trim level also has a self-leveling air suspension, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. The M60i draws 523 horsepower from its V8, turbo 4.4-liter engine. It comes with the same drivetrain and transmission as the xDrive40i. It also has a sports differential, brakes, and rear-wheel steering.

Appearance

One of the two differences between the 2025 and 2026 versions of the X7 is in the paint color options. Ametrin Red Metallic paint that was offered in 2025 is not available in 2026. The stunning style, however, is unchanged. The regal X7 has a decidedly modern edge with linear and angled chiseling across the sides. The nose is equally distinguished with a tall, kidney-type grille, sleek LED headlights, and two-sided accents. The outer features available with the 2025 and 2026 X7 include a powered dual-section tailgate, up to 23-inch wheels, and an illuminated grille.

Features

In 2026, gesture control will no longer be offered with the X7’s infotainment system. Other features that are available in 2025 are also available in 2026. Some of these features are climate-controlled cup holders, heated and massaging front seats with a multi-contour design, forward collision mitigation, a four-zone or five-zone auto climate control system, soft-close doors, a panoramic sunroof with embedded lighting, wireless smartphone app connections, synthetic or authentic leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated armrests, and a 14.9-inch central display screen.
