Serving BMW of Warwick, RI
Among luxury sedans, BMW models like the 3 Series and the 5 Series stand out in a crowded market. The compact 3 Series sedan has long been recognized for delivering luxury and high-level performance to drivers. The midsize 5 Series sedan is equally appealing and is distinguished from the 3 Series in notable areas.
Performance
The 2026 BMW 3 Series is available in several powertrains. The entry-level option is a turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that gives you 255 horsepower. A 3.0-liter, inline-six is also available, and it gives you 386 horsepower. These engines feature an eight-speed auto transmission, and both have rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The 5 Series has three available powertrains. The first option is a turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, 255-horsepower gas engine. A turbo 3.0-liter, incline-six, 375-horsepower unit is also available. A plug-in hybrid powertrain is another option for the 5 Series. It gives you 483 combined horsepower with an all-electric range of 33 miles. Both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive layouts are available.
Appearance
The 2026 3 Series has a decidedly athletic design with sharp front-end styling and rigorous, angled definition swooping across the sides. The angled, pointed headlights are designed with a pair of C-shaped LED elements. These headlights directly connect to the wide, sharp-cornered grille. The beefy lower fascia and deep-set air inlets add to the sporty look.
The 5 Series, on the other hand, has a sophisticated air with a long, gently sloping hood and smooth sides. At the front, the chrome-outlined grille is taller than the grille on the 3 Series. The expanded headlights feature a pair of upright LED accents. The lower fascia is slightly curved and rolls into modified air inlets.
Features
The 3 Series is remarkably appointed with top-notch features like forward collision mitigation, a heated steering wheel, parking sensors, a 14.9-inch central display screen with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel in a curved housing, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, a 10-speaker audio system, wireless smartphone app connections, and more.
The 5 Series is available with these features as well as a Harman Kardon or Bowers & Wilkins audio system, a wireless charging pad, a panoramic glass roof, heated front and rear seats, a four-zone climate control system, highway driving assistance, and more.
