The immaculate BMW X7 is the premier choice for drivers in search of a three-row SUV with luxurious features and finishes. This full-size SUV accommodates seven passengers while also delivering the unrivaled performance that BMW is known for. Going into the 2026 model year, the BMW X7 is a mid-generation vehicle that has only two small updates compared to the 2025 version. This year, the infotainment system’s gesture control and the Ametrin Red Metallic body paint are eliminated.
Otherwise, the 2025 and 2026 BMW X7 are identical on a trim-by-trim basis. The exterior styling is confident and regal with a modern front-end design. The style includes a contemporary spin on BMW’s classic, kidney-style grille. Boomerang-shaped accents and slender LED headlights flank the grille. Across the sides, the X7 shows off chiseled sculpting and a dark accent below the belt. Exterior features available on the 2026 BMW X7 include an illuminated grille, up to 23-inch wheels, a powered dual-section tailgate, and others.
Two trim levels are available for the latest X7. These are the xDrive40i and the M60i. The xDrive40i is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter, inline-six engine that generates 375 horsepower. It is also equipped with all-wheel drive, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and a self-leveling air suspension. The M60i is engineered with a turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine. This 523-horsepower unit is paired with the same transmission and drivetrain as the lower trim level. It also comes with sports brakes, rear-wheel steering, and a sports differential.
The BMW X7 is well-appointed with all of the niceties that you want in a luxury SUV. The entry-level trim comes with multi-contoured and heated front seats, heated armrests, a heated steering wheel, synthetic leather upholstery, a four-zone auto climate control system, a panoramic sunroof, forward collision mitigation, a 14.9-inch touch display screen, wireless smartphone app connections, and others. The higher-level trim adds leather upholstery, soft-close doors, a Harman Kardon sound system, a surround-view camera, highway driving assist, a five-zone auto climate control system, massaging front seats, and climate-controlled cup holders.
